Depilar FAQ - (Salons)
Who can purchased Depilar?
Depilar is a professional product sold to licensed skin care professionals only. This would include Cosmetologists, Esthetician or Waxing professionals. The reason for this is in the waxing procedure. Licensed professionals remove the hair directly from the root with minimal breakage. This is critical in the effectiveness of Depilar. Individuals who are not professionally trained in hair removal will generally break the hair and minimize the effectiveness of Depilar and the results will be diminished.

How long after waxing should Depilar be applied?
Depilar should be applied within 10 - 15 minutes of the hair being removed. This will allow the Depilar to enter the hair follicle effectively. Applying Depilar after the 15 minute period will decrease the effectiveness. The quicker the better!

I have applied several treatments with Depilar System to my clients and I don’t see a difference?
The Depilar System only treats hair that is visible and in the anagen or growth phase. Each hair growth cycle must be treated separately and, depending on the area treated. In most cases a visible decrease in hair growth can be seen in 1 to 2 treatments, however, some clients may require 4-5 treatments before a visible result is noticed.

I just started applying the Depilar System to my client and am seeing more hair, not less?
Sometimes there is a temporary increase in hair growth following the first treatment as the body is reacting to the hair removal process. Removing hair by the root can reset the anagen phase for hair producing cells. Dormant hair producing cells are activated and will allow for increased efficacy for subsequent treatments and even more visible results.

Are there restrictions to sun exposure after applying Depilar?
After any waxing or sugaring treatment sun exposure should be avoided for 24 hours, giving the skin a chance to recuperate. And as always, be sure to wear sunscreen, avoid the sun at noon and don’t stay in the sun too long!
